The Promotion commences at 09:00 AEST on 27 July 2023 and ends at 23:59 AEST on 13 August 2023 (Promotion Period). Entry is open to all Australian residents 18 years old and over, except directors, officers, management employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and agencies associated with the Promotion (Entrants). To enter the Promotion, Entrants must, during the Promotion Period: (a) go to the Virgin Australia competition landing page, https://competitions.virginaustralia.com/competition/Designed-to-fly-to-Melbourne and complete the prompt: “Tell us in 25 words or less, what is your favourite thing to do in Melbourne and why”; (b) include their first name, last name, phone number, email address, state or territory, and their nearest airport; (c) select “yes” to subscribe to V-mail and receive V-mail promotional emails from Virgin Australia (including ‘V-mail Sale, V-mail Specials, V-mail Promotions and V-mail Happy Hour); (d) select “yes” to receive tourism related content from Visit Victoria (Melbourne) and its partners and permit Visit Victoria (Melbourne) to use their personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy; and (e) select “yes” to agree to the Terms and Conditions. There will be 200 Winners. The Major Prize Win will be notified directly via email, and the Secondary Prize Winners will be notified directly via email within two (2) business days of the relevant draw. There is one (1) Major Prize and 199 Secondary Prizes to be won. The Winners will be selected at 14:00 AEST on 19 August 2023.
The Major Prize is: (a) 2 x return Virgin Australia Economy Choice flights to Melbourne from an Australian domestic port serviced by Virgin Australia at the time of flight; (b) one (1) bespoke Visit Victoria (Melbourne) x Virgin suitcase, designed by Melbourne icon – July & Co Pty Ltd; (c) two (2) nights’ accommodation at Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer in a Superior King / Twin room (breakfast is not included); (d) a Gimlet at Cavendish House voucher to the value of $350; and (e) two (2) tickets to Hidden Secret Tours - Laneways and Arcades Walking Tour. The average total prize value of the Major Prize is AUD$1475 (including GST). A Secondary Prize is: one (1) bespoke Visit Victoria (Melbourne) x Virgin suitcase, designed by Melbourne icon – July & Co Pty Ltd. The average total prize value of a Secondary Prize is $245 RRP (including GST).
The Prize is subject to the full competition Terms and Conditions and is not exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Flight vouchers are valid for 12 months and subject to blackout periods. Flights on Virgin Australia are subject to availability and the Virgin Australia Conditions of Carriage, located here. Accommodation is subject to availability.
